About SoberAdventurer
Building the world's most complete guide to alcohol-free travel, one listing at a time.
Our Mission
SoberAdventurer.com was built on a simple belief: that choosing not to drink should never mean choosing not to travel, explore, or experience the best the world has to offer.
Whether you're in recovery, sober-curious, or just someone who prefers a great mocktail to a cocktail — you deserve access to the same quality of information, the same sense of community, and the same wide-open possibilities as anyone else. We set out to build a resource that truly reflects how vibrant and growing the sober travel world really is.
From alcohol-free bars in Austin to sober group trips to Iceland, NA bottle shops in Oregon to family sections at Wrigley Field — SoberAdventurer.com is the compass for your next adventure, no matter where you are on your journey.

About the Venue Type Safety System
Not all "sober-friendly" places are the same. That's why every venue in our directory is labeled with one of five Venue Types, so you always know exactly what to expect.
No alcohol is sold or served on the premises at all. This is the safest option for those in active recovery. You can visit, relax, and enjoy without encountering alcohol in any form.
The business is primarily focused on non-alcoholic products or experiences. They may carry a small selection of alcoholic items but their core mission is NA. Generally safe for recovery.
The venue serves alcohol generally but has a designated alcohol-free area or section. Common at stadiums and large event venues. Alcohol may be present elsewhere in the building.
Welcoming to sober guests and has good NA options, but alcohol is also available. Great for sober-curious travelers or those who are comfortable in spaces that serve alcohol.
A regular bar or venue that serves alcohol but offers an excellent selection of non-alcoholic options. Worth knowing about if you want to join friends at a bar and still have great drink choices.
How Listings Are Verified
Every listing in our directory goes through a manual review before it's published. Our team checks:
- ✓ That the business genuinely welcomes sober guests
- ✓ That the venue type label is accurate
- ✓ That the website and contact information are valid
- ✓ That the listing is not misleading or promotional
We also rely on our community. If you notice outdated information or a listing that no longer belongs, please contact us and we'll review it promptly.
